KDAT are proud to offer ‘two-day’ and ‘three-day’ overland safari tours from Broome or Willare Bridge Roadhouse to Mount Anderson and Jarlmadangah. These unique tours traverse the traditional country around Mt Anderson and the Grant Ranges by a combination of four wheel drive bus and camel trekking. For groups of 6 passengers or more we can offer flexible departure dates and itineraries. Prices on application.

Visitors gain unique insight into the history of the Mount Anderson station where our family worked and were raised, and the history of our more newly formed community - Jarlmadangah.

This is our traditional land, visit exclusive rock-art sites, be amazed by the landscape, learn about traditional bush foods and medicines, go hunting whilst learning bush survival skills as well as sharing in the stories told by traditional owners of the country.

Our tours have an authentic and respectful eco and cultural experiential focus. Our visitors have the opportunity to gain a genuine insight in to the local way of life and learn about the local customs, in a strong, healthy aboriginal community.

Jarlmadangah is our home. We are the only tourist operation to visit this unique wilderness area, so, for those who want to get off the well-trodden tourist trail and join a pristine, peaceful and enriching experience please contact us.

  • Kimberley Dreamtime Adventure Tours (KDAT) is located in its home community, Jarlmadangah. Jarlmadangah is located 30kms off the Great Northern Highway within Mount Anderson Station, approximately 126km southeast of Derby, and 203 km east of Broome in the Kimberley region of Western Australia.

We are 100% owned by the Jarlmadangah Burru Aboriginal Community, so, not only do we employ people from our own community, all of the proceeds are reinvested back into our community – the very place where we live and our children live.
