Description

We travel well away from the mass tourism tracts through Station Country and into the remote country of Gorges, Creeks, Ranges and to the upper reaches of the mightiest river in Australia – the Fitzroy River. Guided by the Bunuba Rangers, they will proudly introduce you to their country. They will show you where to find bush tucker, hunt for food, explain their culture and heritage as they guide you through this remarkable country. True and lasting friendships will be made out here. At the end of this adventure our customers are glowing with excitement and many describe it as a life changing experience. See the testimonials on our website. We utilise 4WD vehicles to get you to our remote campsites from which we set out on our walks into places that are only accessible by foot. You will see amazing rock art, swim in crystal clear fresh water pools under the Pandanus palms and towering gorge faces, explore for fossils and relax under the shade of the Paper Bark Trees. At night we sit beside a campfire under the stars and tell stories of the early drover days which seems to come alive in this atmospheric place. The tours cater for a maximum of 10 people - everyone gets a window seat in our 4WD’s - some of you will get to drive. It runs from June to early August. The tour is fully catered for and includes all camping gear – tents, comfortable mats, and of course all meals and eating facilities. Our campsites have showers or swimming holes to enable you to freshen up at the end of the day. The walks are not long but you do need to be relatively fit to get the most out of this adventure.
